Wildcat women's golf opens with fourth-place finish at CSP/MSU Fall Brawl

            The Wayne State College women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a fourth-place finish at the Concordia-St. Paul/Minnesota State Fall Brawl played Monday and Tuesday at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin.  The Wildcats shot team scores of 328 and 309 for a two-day, 36-hole score of 637.
            Host Concordia-St. Paul captured the team title with a 622, three shots better than second-place Wisconsin-Stout at 625.  Minnesota State came in third with a 631 followed by Wayne State (637) and St. Catherine at 639 rounding out the top five teams in the 13-team field.
            Wayne State's top score came from individual player Molly Goc as the freshman from Columbus High carded rounds of 76 and 77 for a 153 to place sixth overall in a field of 76 players. 
            Junior Camryn Johnson posted scores of 77 and 82 for 159 and was tied for 13th overall followed by senior Erica Lee with a 160 shooting 85-75. 
            Other Wayne State scorers included freshman Saleah Vivanh-Vong shooting 161 (82-79) to tie for 19th overall, senior Hailey Kenkel was one shot back at 162 with scores of 84 and 78 and tied for 23rd while junior Gaia Stancikova came in with rounds of 88 and 77 for 165 and finished tied for 34th.
            Wayne State continues their season next Monday and Tuesday, September 21 and 22, at the MIAA Preview in Andover, Kansas.
