NSIC Men's Golf Release 03/30/10

            Adam Fields of Wayne State College was named today (Tuesday) the Northern Sun Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after claiming medalist honors at the WSC Spring Invitational Sunday and Monday, the first tournament of the spring season.

Fields, a junior from Sioux City Heelan, shot a two-over par 74 Sunday and a two-under par 70 Monday to finish the 36-hole tournament at even par 144.  His score Monday helped the Wildcats set a new 18-hole school record with a 287 while also establishing a new 36-hole school record with a 589, good for a second place finish and just two strokes behind first place St. Cloud State.  

Wayne State will be in action on Friday and Saturday when the Wildcats compete at the Upper Iowa Invitational in Ankeny, Iowa.
