Wayne State College will open the 2012 outdoor track and field season this weekend hosting the annual Wildcat Classic on LeRoy Simpson Track at Cunningham Field in Wayne.  Multi-events will be held on Friday and Saturday with a full slate of events scheduled for Saturday with field events starting at 10:00 a.m. and running events beginning at 12:30 p.m.
            Full teams competing at the meet this weekend include host Wayne State College, Briar Cliff, Concordia (Neb.), Dakota Wesleyan, Dordt College, Iowa Western CC, Midland University, Morningside College, Mount Marty and South Dakota School of Mines along with partial squads from Augustana, Minnesota State, MSU Moorhead, South Dakota and South Dakota State.
