Wildcat men conclude season at NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships

            Wayne State juniors J'Dyn Bullion (discus) and Cain Brown (high jump) competed Friday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Emporia, Kansas and hosted by Emporia State. 
            Bullion, a graduate of Bellevue West HS, posted a 13th place finish in the discus out of 22 participants.  After scratching on his first attempt, Bullion produced his top mark of 169' 3" on his second throw and recorded a mark of 157' 8" on his third attempt in prelims.  With his 13th place finish, Bullion was named USTFCCCA All-American Second Team.
            Brown, a native of Williamsburg, Iowa (Iowa Western CC), placed 15th overall out of 22 competitors.  He cleared the opening height of 6' 6 ¾" on his opening attempt.  Brown then cleared 6' 8 ¾" on his second attempt and failed to clear the next height of 6' 10 ¾" on all three attempts.  He was awarded USTFCCCA All-American Second Team honors with his 15th place finish.
