Margaret Harma registered her first collegiate win with a shutout to lead Wayne State College in a 1-0 non-conference women's soccer win at Nebraska-Kearney Wednesday evening at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium in Kearney. WSC improves to 1-0-1 on the season while the host Lopers fall to 0-2-1.
The Wildcats scored the lone goal of the contest in the 10
th minute when
Josie Brown kicked in a shot from in the box following a save off her own shot at the 10:25 mark.
Wayne State held a 9-6 edge in shots over the Lopers include 7-3 in shots on goal. WSC had one more corner kick than UNK, 4-3, while the Wildcats were called for 13 fouls to just four on UNK.
Brown led WSC offensively with four shots, including the lone goal of the contest.
Mallory Hoyt added three shots while
Kelsea Lambert and
McKenna Adams were each credited with one shot.

Margaret Harma notched her first collegiate victory by stopping all three shots on goal while facing six total shots from UNK.
Wayne State returns to action Thursday afternoon traveling to Augustana College for a 5 p.m. match in the Northern Sun Conference opener.
