Central Oklahoma 7 Wayne State 2 Central Oklahoma took advantage of four Wayne State errors as the Bronchos topped the Wildcats 7-2 Sunday afternoon in Wayne State's final game at the Apple Market Classic Softball Tournament in St. Joseph, Missouri. UCO is now 21-8 while WSC falls to 14-6 and finishes the three-day tournament with a 3-3 record.
The Bronchos scored one run in the first, two in the third, one in the fifth and three more in the sixth innings while WSC avoided the shutout by scoring two runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Jalyn Zeiss scoring when
Brooke French reached on a Central Oklahoma error to make the final score 7-2.
Central Oklahoma had just one more hit than WSC, 8-7.
Melanie Alyea finished a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate while
Lexie Loos was 2 for 4.
Jordan King and O'Brien each added singles for the Wildcats.
Kelcie Bormann (9-4) was the losing pitcher, allowing eight hits and seven runs (three earned) with three strikeouts and one walk.
Wayne State is scheduled to open Northern Sun Conference play Wednesday in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Augustana College.
