NCAA Division II Women's Hammer Throw Final Results Wayne State College freshman
Shandan Platt placed 18
th Thursday afternoon in the women's hammer throw at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Allendale, Michigan.
Platt, a graduate of Ainsworth High School, had a top mark of 171' 2" on her first throw in prelims. She also recorded throws of 169' 2" and 158' 2", needing a mark of at least 178' 7" to qualify for the finals. Platt entered nationals ranked 18
th in NCAA Division II with a top throw of 183' 4" during the regular season.
Wayne State will have two other athletes compete at this weekend's national meet. Senior

Michaela Dendinger will participate in the discus on Friday at 1 p.m. and again on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. in the shot put.
