Kendall Jacks scored a season-high 28 points on 12 of 18 shooting to lead Wayne State College in a 76-57 victory at Concordia-St. Paul in a Northern Sun Conference men's basketball game played at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. WSC is now 5-3 and 2-1 in league play while CSP drops to 1-7 and 0-2 in the NSIC.
The game was close midway through the first half with the host Golden Bears holding a 16-15 lead.
WSC took the lead for good on a Trevin Joseph 3-pointer to put the 'Cats in front 18-16.
After CSP got within two at 20-18, WSC went on a 16-4 run over a span of 4:20 to take a 36-22 lead with 4:36 left in the first half.
The Wildcats closed the first half with a
Vance Janssen 3-pointer and
Kendall Jacks layup to take a 41-24 lead at intermission.
Wayne State maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half and led by as many as 24 points with three minutes left before finishing with a 76-57 victory.
Jacks made 12 of 18 shots from the field, including both 3-point shots, and 2 of 2 from the foul line to account for his game-high 28 points. It was the fourth time in five games that Jacks has scored 20 or more points.

WSC shot 47.5 percent from the field making 29 of 61 shots. The 'Cats tied a season-high with 11 3-pointers, going 11 of 21 behind the arc, and were 7 for 9 at the free throw stripe.
Avan Ward scored 13 points to lead Concordia-St. Paul in scoring followed by Evan Wesenberg and Bryndan Matthews with 12 apiece.
Concordia-St. Paul made 20 of 50 shots for 40 percent including 4 for 14 behind the 3-point line and 13 for 21 at the free throw line.
The Golden Bears held a slight 35-34 rebounding edge over the Wildcats.
Vance Janssen had six caroms for WSC followed by
Jordan Cornelius,
Brian Goodwin and Tony Bonner with five each.
WSC had just six turnovers in the game while forcing 14 on CSP, resulting in a 15-4 advantage on points in the paint.
Janssen handed out six of Wayne State's 22 assists while Jacks finished with three steals.
The Wildcats will be at home Tuesday evening for a non-conference game vs. Nebraska Christian with tip off set for 7 p.m. at Rice Auditorium.
