Concordia University Irvine defeated Wayne State College 4-1 in beach volleyball played Wednesday afternoon at Great Park in Irvine, California.  The Eagles improved to 10-1 with the win (lone loss is to Division I #12 Long Beach State) while the Wildcats drop to 3-4 on the year.
            The #3 duo of Alyssa Ballenger and Maddie Duffy recorded Wayne State's win in the dual by scores of 22-20, 10-21, 15-10. 
            Wayne State's #2 team of Kelsie Cada/Jordan McCormick dropped a close 22-20, 24-22 contest to Concordia University Irvine while the #4 team of Jacee Weber/Elly Larson battled before falling 21-18, 21-19.
            Wayne State is scheduled to play a pair of matches Thursday against MiraCosta College at 11 a.m. and Hope International at 1 p.m.
