The Wayne State College beach volleyball team suffered a 3-2 loss to the University of Tampa 2 team Saturday morning in the final pool play match for the Wildcats at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships in Tavares, Florida.
            The Wildcats posted wins in the #2 and #3 matches.  Alyssa Ballenger and Maddie Duffy rallied for a 16-21, 21-15, 16-14 win in the #2 match while Kelsie Cada and Jordan McCormick notched a 21-8, 21-14 sweep in the #3 match.
            The #4 match saw Wayne State's Jessie Brandl and Isabelle Vacek fall in a three-set battle by scores of 21-23, 22-20, 15-6. 
            Wayne State faces Catawba (NC) Saturday afternoon in a bracket play match.
