USD Tuneup Meet Final Results

Dylan Kaup and freshman
Collin Kotz had the top finishes for the Wayne State men Friday afternoon and evening at the USD Tuneup Outdoor Track and Field held in Vermillion, South Dakota in a meet that attracted seven Division I schools to go with 15 others from NCAA Division II, III and NAIA ranks as a final tuneup before conference championship meets next weekend.
           Kaup had a sixth place finish in the hammer throw at 191' 10 ½" while Kotz earned a sixth place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:47.03.
           Senior
Cole Christoffersen took seventh in the hammer (186' 8 ¼").
           Eighth place finishes were recorded by
Cody Crosley in the long jump (21' 6"),
Dylan Kneifl in the high jump (6' 3 ¼") and
Ben Allen in the shot put (52' 4 ½").

Will McGonigal was 10
th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:15.56) while
Preston Davis was 11
th in the 400 meter hurdles (57.16) and
Noah Lilly came in 11
th in the 110 meter high hurdles in 15.51 seconds.
           Wayne State competes in the 2021 Northern Sun Conference Outdoor Championships Thursday, Friday and Saturday May 13-15 in Duluth, Minnesota.Â
