Wayne State College opens the 2022 beach volleyball season Friday with matches at Nebraska and Park (Mo.) at the Hawks Championship Center in Lincoln. WSC faces the Huskers at 8 a.m. followed by a match vs. Park. Two years ago WSC dropped a 4-1 contest to the Huskers while the Wildcats posted a 4-1 win over Park.
The triangular schedule on Friday features a projected Wildcat lineup of
Ally Beresford and
Brooke Peltz playing the 5s with Jaz DeHaan and
Rachel Walker teaming up in the #4 lineup.
Jessie Brandl and
Isabelle Vacek are projected starters in the 3s pair with
Kelsie Cada and
Jordan McCormick, who were 7-3 together last season, as the #2 team.
Taya Beller and
Lauren Jacobsen are projected as the Wildcat duo in the #1 pairs match.
This is the third season for beach volleyball at Wayne State. Last season, the Wildcats were 5-5 and placed second in the Silver Division and eighth overall at the AVCA Division II Small College Beach Championships.
