The Wayne State College beach volleyball team suffered their first loss in seven contests on their Arizona Spring Break Trip Friday morning, falling 4-1 to two-time defending NAIA national beach champion Ottawa (Ariz.).  The Spirit improve to 7-7 on the year (four losses to NCAA Division I schools) while WSC is now 6-3. 
            Wayne State's win came from the #5 pairing of Ally Beresford and Brooke Peltz, who won in straight sets.  The remaining matches were decided in straight sets with Ottawa registering wins in the remaining duals.
            The Wildcats conclude their spring trip to Arizona with a match against Park University Gilbert in Scottsdale, Arizona Friday afternoon.
