The Wayne State College beach volleyball team opened play Wednesday morning at the Ottawa Volleyball Beach Tournament in Shawnee, Kansas with a 5-0 victory over Oklahoma Wesleyan.  The Wildcats improve to 8-3 on the season while the Lady Eagles drop to 2-7.
            The Wildcats registered wins by sweep in all five matches, starting with the #1 pairing of Taya Beller and Lauren Jacobsen.  Kelsie Cada/Jordan McCormick posted a 2-0 win in the 2's match followed by a 2-0 sweep for Rachel Walker and Jazlin DeHaan in the 3's pairing. 
            Isabelle Vacek/Jessie Brandl at 4's and Ally Beresford/Maggie Brahmer in the 5's pairing also posted wins with 2-0 sweeps.
            Wayne State will continue play at the Ottawa Tournament with a match against Missouri Baptist.
