WSC beach volleyball sweeps Arizona Christian

            Wayne State College recorded a 5-0 sweep over Arizona Christian in beach volleyball played Wednesday afternoon in Glendale, Arizona.  It was the fourth straight win for the 4-2 Wildcats while the Firestorm drops to 4-8 on the year.
            All five Wildcat matches were won in sweeps while the exhibition match featuring Ally Beresford and Maggie Brahmer ended in a 2-1 Wildcat win. 
            Lauren Jacobsen/Taya Beller captured the #1 pairs match 21-13 and 21-17.  In the No. 2 pairs it was Kelsie Cada and Jordan McCormick winning in straight sets 21-14, 21-12.  Rachel Walker and Jazlin DeHaan registered a 21-9, 21-18 win in the 3's match while Jessie Brandl and Isabelle Vacek picked up a 21-5, 21-16 win in the 4's contest.  The 5's pairing saw Brooke Beltz and Ally Beresford cap the sweep with a 21-14, 21-17 victory.
            Wayne State plays two matches on Thursday on their Arizona Spring Trip as the Wildcats battle Benedictine University of Mesa at 11 a.m. Central Time and Park University Gilbert at 1 p.m.
