Wayne State College fell to top-seeded Palm Beach Atlantic 5-0 Thursday morning in the Wildcats' opening pool play match at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships held in Tavares, Florida at Hickory Point Beach. The Wildcats fall to 11-4 on the season while the Sailfish improve to 16-13 with seven of their losses to NCAA Division I nationally-ranked teams.

Maggie Brahmer went extra points before falling to Palm Beach Atlantic's Gabriella Aziz and Emma Vann 21-12 and 25-23.
The #3 duo of
Jessie Brandl and
Isabelle Vacek battled with PBA's Julia Golichowski and Karla Cantero before falling 21-19, 21-16.
Wayne State's #2 pairing of
Kelsie Cada and
Jordan McCormick fell by scores of 21-10, 21-18. The #1 duo of
