Several members of the Wayne State men's track and field team competed Friday and Saturday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines.
Friday in the 4 x 800 meter relay, the quartet of
Nathan Pearson,
Bryce Holcomb,
Brandon Mundorf and
Brock Hegarty posted a time of 7:43.12 to finish seventh out of 16 teams in the event.
Saturday, the distance medley relay team of Holcomb, Hegarty, Pearson and
Brandon Mundorf recorded a time of 10:25.78 to place 10th out of 19 teams.
Freshman
Logan Moeller competed Saturday afternoon in the triple jump in a loaded field of Division I entries that included 10 athletes from the Big 10, Moeller finished with a top jump of 47' 7" to finish 15th out of 25 entrants.
Wayne State will compete Friday, May 6th at the South Dakota Tuneup in Vermillion.
