Dylan Kneifl finished tied for 12
th out of 17 competitors in the high jump Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia. By placing between ninth and 12th place Kneifl is awarded Second Team All-American honors.
Kneifl, a junior from Pilger (Wisner-Pilger HS), cleared the opening height of 6' 8 ¼" on his opening jump but then failed on all three attempts at the following height of 6' '10 ¼" to be eliminated from competition. He entered the national championships ranked 13
th in NCAA Division II clearing a new school record height of 6' 11 ½" at the SDSU Last Chance Meet February 18
th in Brookings, South Dakota.
