Wayne State capped play Wednesday afternoon at the Ottawa (Kan.) Beach Volleyball Tournament in Shawnee, Kansas with a 5-0 sweep over the host Braves at Shawnee Mission Beach. The Wildcats are 8-4 following the win while the host Braves drop to 0-8.
The Wildcats' #1 pairing of
Taya Beller and
Allie Petry won 21-11, 21-17 followed by a 21-8, 21-8 victory for the 2's team of
Kelsie Cada and
Jordan McCormick.
Isabelle Vacek and
Ally Beresford registered a 21-13, 21-12 win in the #3 match,
Brooke Peltz and
Rachel Walker won 21-13, 21-8 in 4's and
Maggie Brahmer and
Havyn Heinz picked up a 21-8, 21-17 win in the #5's pairing.
The next action for Wayne State is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29
th when the Wildcats are set to host Ottawa (Kan.) at the WSC Beach Courts in Wayne weather permitting.
