Eckerd College of Florida defeated Wayne State 3-0 Sunday morning in the first pool play match in the Bronze Division at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships in Tavares, Florida.  The Wildcats are now 12-7 on the season.
            Wayne State's #1 pairing of Taya Beller and Allie Petry suffered a 21-17, 21-17 loss to Agata Sklepik and Kitana Lim of Eckerd.  The 3's match saw Isabelle Vacek and Ally Beresford suffer a 21-13, 21-19 defeat while in the 4's pairing it was Rachel Walker and Brooke Peltz falling 21-12 and 21-11.
            The Wildcats will close out play at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships later Sunday morning with a match against Tusculum University of Tennessee.
