Mount Marty Twilight Invite Final Results
Senior
Kendra Paasch collected a first-place finish in the discus to lead the Wayne State women's track and field team at the Mount Marty Twilight Invite in Yankton Wednesday afternoon and evening. The meet attracted NCAA schools from Augustana, Northern State, Sioux Falls and South Dakota State along with NAIA schools Dakota State, Dakota Wesleyan, Dordt, Morningside and Northwestern along with host Mount Marty.
Paasch recorded a first-place finish in the discus with a top mark of 151' 8 ¼", an NCAA provisional mark that now ranks fourth in the NSIC.
Freshman
Anna Coffee finished in a tie for second in the high jump clearing 5' 1".
Yankton native
Brooke Solomon posted a third place finish in the 5,000-meter run at 19:34.16 with teammate
Madeline Kunz fifth at 20:16.08.
Emily Smollen was fourth in the long jump at 17' 11 ¾" and
Olivia Schwarzrock came in fifth in the discus at 134' 0".
Megan Hansen took seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.11 seconds.
Wayne State will have several athletes compete at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
