Sophomore
Keaton Wattier posted a first-place finish in the 110-meter-high hurdles for the Wayne State men's track and field team as a partial Wildcat squad competed Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Mount Marty Twilight Meet held in Yankton.
           A sophomore from O'Neill HS, Wattier's winning time was 14.57 seconds.
           Another highlight for the Wildcats Wednesday came from senior
Dylan Kneifl, who cleared a season-best 6' 11" for a third-place finish and NCAA provisional mark that now ranks as the second-best mark in the NSIC this season.
           Other third-place finishes came from
Alex Brandt in the javelin at 144' 8" and junior
Logan Moeller in the long jump with a top mark of 21' 9 ½".Â

Cody Rogers took fourth place in the triple jump (43' 5"),
Austin Madsen was sixth in the 400-meter dash (50.55) and
Jarrett McQueen had an eighth-place mark in the javelin at 117' 0".
           Wayne State will have several athletes compete at the Drake Relays in Des Moines on Friday and Saturday. Â
