Maya Couch was the top Wayne State finisher with a first-place in the 100-meter dash to lead a partial Wildcat women's track and field team competing at the Mount Marty Twilight Meet in Yankton, South Dakota.
Couch's winning time in the 100-meter dash was 12.17 seconds.
Hinton, Iowa sophomore
Anna Coffee posted a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (14.90) and was seventh in the long jump with a top mark of 17' 2 ¾".
Paige Condon had a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.42 seconds while senior
Keyla Sambo was seventh in the triple jump (35' 4 ¾").
The Wildcat 4 x 100-meter relay team of Couch, Coffee,
Sarah Cotton and
Lindsey Kneifl was second with a time of 48.29 seconds.
Several members of the Wildcat women's team will compete Friday and Saturday at the Drake Relays.
