The Wayne State College women's golf team shot a season-best score of 633 (312-321) Monday and Tuesday at the MIAA Fall Preview played at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course in Kearney. As a team, the Wildcats placed 13
th out of 15 teams with Broken Bow freshman

Central Missouri captured the team title with a 591, nine shots ahead of three teams that tied for second place - Washburn, Nebraska-Kearney and Rogers State. Missouri Southern was fifth at 605 followed by Arkansas-Fort Smith (608), Northeastern State (610), Central Oklahoma (612), Northwest Missouri State ninth at 614 and Fort Hays State and Nebraska-Kearney B tied for 10
th with scores of 625.
Johnson, a native of Berwyn, shot rounds of 75 and 81 (156) to tie for 40
th overall out of 90 players. Millard North sophomore
Erica Lee followed in a tie for 47
th overall at 159 with scores of 79 and 80.
Senior
Abbigail Brodersen shot a 36-hole total of 161 (81-80) to finish tied for 55
th. Sophomore
Hailey Kenkel was next at 163, tied for 62
nd after shooting 83 and 80. Junior
Saffire Sayre rounded out the Wildcats in team scoring firing 167 with rounds of 77 and 90 for 69
th place.
Two other Wildcats played as individuals. Junior
Meg Thompson shot 171 (88-83) and sophomore
Kylie Powers produced scores of 86 and 98 for a 184.
The next meet for Wayne State is Friday and Saturday, October 4
th and 5
th when the Wildcats compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Invitational at Lochland Country Club in Hastings.
