Erica Lee was the top Wayne State finisher as the Wayne State women's golf team completed their fall portion of the 2025-26 schedule Monday and Tuesday at the Missouri Western Women's Holiday Inn Express Invitational played in St. Joseph, Missouri at St. Joseph Country Club. The Wildcats shot rounds of 331 and 330 for a two-day, 36-hole score of 661 to finish 16
th out of 19 teams.
Southwestern Oklahoma State captured the team title with a 616 (308-308) to finish 11 shots ahead of runner-up Harding at 627. Central Oklahoma (628), Arkansas-Fort Smith (630) and Rogers State (635) rounded out the top five teams.
Lee, a junior from Millard North HS, shot rounds of 82 Monday and a six-over par 78 Tuesday in windy conditions to close the two-day event at 160 and tied for 23
rd overall in a field of 105 players. Grand Island junior
Hailey Kenkel was next in a tie for 50
th overall with a 165 (82-83).

Saffire Sayre followed at 168 (85-83) and tied for 64
th overall, senior
Meg Thompson posted scores of 82 and 88 for a 170 – tied for 77
th – while sophomore
Camryn Johnson placed 87
th overall after shooting scores of 88-86 for a 174.
Junior
Kylie Powers played as an individual and produced rounds of 87 and 89 for 176 to tie for 90
th.
