Wayne State redshirt freshman pitcher Kennadi Borngrebe was announced Tuesday morning as the Northern Sun Pitcher of the Week after her performance over Briar Cliff at the Dordt Dome last Wednesday evening.
            A graduate of Elkhorn South High School struck out 12 batters in a 7-0 win over the Chargers. She also impressed in the batters box, hitting 5 for 8 in the doubleheader sweep. She was 2 for 4 with a double and RBI in game one and 3 for 4 with a triple and run scored in the second game.
            Wayne State softball is off to a 4-0 start. The Wildcats are scheduled to play in the Washburn Tournament in Topeka Kansas Friday through Sunday, pending weather.
