For the first time since 2021 and just the second time since 2016, the Wayne State College indoor track and field teams will host a meet on the Wayne State campus. This time, though, the event will be held in the new Wildcat Dome that features the only 300-meter indoor track and field surface in the state of Nebraska.
Wayne State will host teams from Chadron State, Benedictine (Kan.), Northwestern, Morningside, Midland and Southeast Community College and with partial squads from Sioux Falls (pole vaults and throws), Dakota State and Mount Marty. Several unattached athletes along with some WSC alumni have also registered for the event
Field events are scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. with running events beginning at 12:10 p.m. The meet will close at 4 p.m. with an alumni 4 x 300-meter relay race.
There will be free admission to the meet.
