Kneifl breaks school record in triple jump at NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships

            Junior Lindsey Kneifl set a new school record in the triple jump to place eighth for the Wayne State College women's indoor track and field team Saturday at the 2025 Northern Sun Conference Indoor Championships held in Mankato, Minnesota. 
            Minnesota State captured a fifth straight NSIC women's team title with 254.5 points, well ahead of second place University of Mary with 133.5.  Augustana was third at 77.5 points with Sioux Falls fourth (73) and Northern State fifth (53).  Winona State took sixth with 37 points followed by Minnesota Duluth (30), Southwest Minnesota State (21), MSU Moorhead (20) and Minot State (18) rounding out the top 10 teams.
            Concordia-St. Paul was 11th with 12.5 points with Bemidji State (7) and Wayne State (4) rounding out the team standings.
            Kneifl, a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School, posted a top mark of 37' 8" to set a new school record and earn the eighth-place medal at the NSIC Indoor Championships.  The old school record was 37' 6 ½" held by Megan Dias and set during the 2010 season.
            Junior thrower Olivia Schwarzrock had the top Wildcat finish Saturday, placing seventh in the shot put with a top heave of 43' 7 ¼". 
            Freshman Zoey Holmes scored the other point for the Wildcats, taking eighth in the finals of the 600-meter run with a time of 1:39.65.
