The Wayne State College beach volleyball team defeated Benedictine Mesa University of Arizona Tuesday afternoon 4-1 in a match played at Gene Autry Park in Mesa.  The 'Cats move to 8-2 with the win as the Redhawks fall to 3-6.
            One match went three sets with Wayne State's #2 pairing of Chloe Hanel and Channatee Robles coming from behind to post a 18-21, 21-11, 15-9 victory.
            In the 3s match, Brooklyn Kusler and Molly Romano earned a 21-6, 21-14 win, the #4 pairing of Reese Johnson and Ella Myler collected a 21-13, 21-13 win while the team of Brooke Peltz and Rhianna Wilhelm won the 5s match 21-15, 21-11.  
            Wayne State also picked up an exhibition win as Laney Kathol and Anna Borner recorded a 21-15, 21-11 win.     
            Wayne State plays one more match against Benedictine Mesa Tuesday afternoon to close out play on their Arizona spring break trip.
