Emmanuel Badejo of Wayne State broke his own school record in Thursday evening's prelims of the 400-meter dash to advance to Saturday's final at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado at the CSU-Pueblo Thunderbowl.
Badejo, a freshman from Ijebu Ode, Nigeria, posted a second-place finish in the first of three heats with a time of 46.25 seconds to advance to Saturday's final. He eclipsed his own school record of 46.39 seconds set May 2
nd at the USD Tune-Up Meet in Vermillion. It's the third time this season that Badejo has set a new school record in the 400-meter dash.
Badejo has the fifth-fastest qualifying time of the nine finalists heading into Saturday's final of the 400-meter dash that will take place at 7:30 p.m. Central Time.
