Emmanuel Badejo has been named NSIC Men's Track Athlete of the Week by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota following his performance at Saturday's USD Tune-up meet in Vermillion.
Badejo, a freshman from Ijebu Ode, Nigeria, set two new school records in the meet he broke his own 400-meter dash record placing first with a time of 46.39 seconds which now ranks 11
th in NCAA Division II. He also anchored the winning 4x100 meter relay team that set a new school record for the second time this season at 40.32 seconds.
Wayne State will be in Duluth, Minnesota for the Northern Sun Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday-Saturday.
