Wayne State senior thrower Reilly Young was named NSIC Women's Field Athlete of the Week Tuesday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota following her performance in two meets last week.
            A graduate of Central Valley HS Young posted NCAA provisional marks in back-to-back meets in the discus. She took first last Wednesday at Maverick Open #1 with a throw of 171-0 and threw an identical mark of 171-0 Saturday at the USD Tune-up meet to finish second. Young has the top discus mark in the NSIC and is third in NCAA Division II.
            Wayne State will compete this weekend at the Northern Sun Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Duluth, Minnesota.
