Schwarzrock hits NCAA provisional mark with shot put win at Concordia Invite

            Senior thrower Olivia Schwarzrock won the shot put with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark Saturday at the Concordia Invite held in Seward at Bulldog Fieldhouse.  It was one of three event wins for the Wildcats on the day.
            A senior from Gibbon, Minnesota, Schwarzrock took first in the shot put at 45' 7 ¼", an NCAA automatic qualifying mark that is also the top throw in the NSIC this season.  She also picked up a second place finish in the weight throw with a top mark of 54' 6 ¾".
            Junior Kailee Kellum also hit an NCAA provisional qualifying mark winning the long jump at 18' 9 ½", the second-best mark all-time in WSC women's long jump.  She also earned a third-place finish in the high jump clearing 5' 3 ¼".
            Callie Kirchner picked up the final event win for the Wildcats crossing the line first in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:03.61.
            Second-place finishers were Kaitlyn Bloomenrader in the 600-meter run (1:39.61), Jerika Bakenhus in the high jump clearing 5' 4 ½" and Jalecia Williams in the shot put at 44' 8 ¾", the second-best mark in the NSIC.  Freshman Ava Leinen also took second in the long jump at 18' 5 ¼".
            Other top finishers included Zoey Holmes third in the 600-meter run at 1:40.11, Kyla Krusemark fourth in the 600-meter run (1:41.42), Reagan Murphy was fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.97) and 200-meter dash (26.08), Anna Coffee fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.37), Meghan Cunningham fifth in the 800-meters (2:25.86) and Madi McKie fifth in the one-mile run at 5:53.41.
            The Wildcats compete again on Friday afternoon and evening at the South Dakota State Last Chance Invite in Brookings, South Dakota.
