Missouri Southern came right back with a run in the bottom of the fourth for a 3-1 lead, but the Wildcats responded again and scored in the top of the fifth to reduce the Lion lead to 3-2 as sophomore catcher Reagan Dreibelbis blasted a solo homer to right center field.  WSC would get two more runners on in the inning with two outs but could not score.
The Lions grabbed a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth scoring one run.
In the seventh, WSC used a walk and hit batter to put runners on first and second with two outs but ended the game on a fielder's choice as Missouri Southern held on for the 4-2 win.
Missouri Southern held an 8-4 advantage in hits over WSC.  Dreibelbis hit a solo homer to lead the 'Cats at the plate.  Jordyn Klein, Marth and Maddie Scobee each added singles.
Sophomore Kennadi Borngrebe fired a complete game and was tagged with her first loss of the season (6-1).  She allowed eight hits and four runs with two strikeouts and seven walks.
