Benedictine Mesa edged Wayne State College 3-2 Monday afternoon in beach volleyball played at Gene Autry Park in Mesa, Arizona.  The 'Cats fall to 6-3 on the season with the loss while the Redhawks are 8-4.
            Wayne State picked up wins in the #2 and #5 pairings as Channatee Robles and Chloe Hanel recorded a thrilling 21-18, 17-21, 16-14 win while the 5s duo of Delaney Miller and Jolee Ryan scored a 21-15, 21-16 victory.
            The 3's duo of Mattie Kamery and Reese Johnson suffered a three-set defeat falling 21-18, 14-21, 15-9 to the Redhawks.
            Wayne State concludes their Arizona spring break beach trip Tuesday with a match at Park University Gilbert.
