Wayne State moved up one spot to third place in the team race while sophomore
Gaia Stancikova is tied for the individual overall lead following the second day of the 2026 Northern Sun Conference Women's Golf Championships played in Blue Springs, Missouri at the Adams Pointe Golf Course.
           The Wildcats shot 312 Thursday following a 311 Wednesday and sits third place overall with a 36-hole total of 623. Minnesota State holds the team lead at 616 (308-308) with Concordia-St. Paul in second at 622 (315-307) just one shot ahead of WSC. Minnesota Crookston at 627 (307-320) and Winona State with a 633 (320-313) close out the top five teams.
           Stancikova posted a second straight two-over par 74 Thursday and is tied for the individual lead following two days with a score of 148. She had two birdies in her round Thursday.

Erica Lee, a junior from Millard North HS, had a six-over-par 78 for a second straight day and is tied for 12
th overall with a 36-hole score of 156.

Saffire Sayre, junior
Hailey Kenkel and sophomore
Camryn Johnson each shot rounds of 80 Thursday for the Wildcats. Sayre is tied for 17
th overall with a two-day score of 158 (78-80) while Kenkel and Johnson are both tied for 23
rd overall with scores of 161. Kenkel and Johnson have both produced rounds of 81 and 80 in the first two days of the tournament.
           The third and final round of the NSIC Women's Golf Championship will take place Friday in Blue Springs, Missouri with a shotgun start set for 9 a.m.
