The Wayne State College softball season came to an end Sunday afternoon in Winona, Minnesota as the Wildcats fell to 20
th-ranked Winona State by scores of 18-0 and 15-0. WSC ends the year at 7-31 and 4-22 in the NSIC while the Warriors are now 32-10 and 22-8 in league play.
The host Warriors raced out to an 11-0 lead in the first inning of the opener and went on to a 18-0 victory in five innings.
WSC had four hits in the first game, led by freshman
Jenna Etmans going 2 for 3 with a pair of singles.
Kim Vidlak and
Mary Krystofiak each added singles for the Wildcats.

Maddie Moser suffered the pitching loss with relief help from sophomore
Ashley Bohannon and freshman
Callie Carraher.
The second game saw Winona State use another big first inning – scoring nine runs – followed by a six-run fourth inning to post a 15-0 win over the Wildcats.
The Wildcats were limited to just two hits in the contest, a first inning single by Vidlak and a second inning single from
Emily Hale.

Sloan Cooksey was tagged with the pitching loss while freshman
Callie Carraher worked in relief.
