Wayne State's men's track and field team competed at the Mount Marty Invite held Saturday at the Donohue Fieldhouse in Yankton, South Dakota.
           In the weight throw, WSC had four athletes in the top eight places led by
Cole Christoffersen in second with a throw of 56' 1 ¼" and
Grant Fritsch in third with a throw of 56' 1". Brent Lorenz (48' 10 ¾") took fifth while
Daniel Elge (46' ¾") got eighth.
           Six Wildcats placed in the top eight in the long jump including first place by
Logan Moeller with a jump of 22' 3 ¾" and second place from Braden Johnson with 20' 11 ¼". Cody Rodgers grabbed third with a jump of 20' 5 ¾" and
Cody Crosley got fifth at 20' 4 ½".
Alex Brandt (19' 11 ¾") and
Noah Lilly (19' 5 ½") got seventh and eighth, respectively.

Dylan Kneifl took home the top mark in high jump at 6' 7 ¼" while
Aaron English went 5' 11" to take fourth.
           In the triple jump,
Logan Moeller finished in first place with a jump of 46' 6 ¼".

Daniel Elge was third in the shot put with a throw of 46' 4 ¾".
Wyatt Sindelar took seventh at 42' 9 ¾" while
Brody Stutzman grabbed eighth at 42' 6".

Noah Lilly took top spot in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.48 seconds.
Alex Brandt was fifth with a time of 9.02 seconds.
           In the 60-meter dash
Theo Huber ranked fifth with a time of 7.27 seconds and
Wyatt Nissen was sixth with a time of 7.31 seconds.
           In the 600-meter run
Bryce Holcomb took home first place with a time of 1:24.41 while
Nathan Hiemer was fifth at 1:35.79.

Michael Kueny was the fourth best in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.53 seconds while
Jacob Ladage was sixth at 53.29 seconds.
           In the 1,000-meter run, Wayne State took the top three finishes with
Brock Hegarty finishing first having a time of 2:34.78 while
Brandon Mundorf (2:38.54) placed second and Gabe Peitz (2:41.4) was third.
           Wayne State will compete again next Saturday at the SDSU Last Chance Invite in Brookings.
