Graduate student
Cole Christoffersen hit an NCAA provisional mark in the hammer throw with a personal best to lead the Wayne State men's track and field team Friday and Saturday at the Sioux City Relays.
           Christoffersen, a graduate of Lyons-Decatur Northeast HS, placed second with a toss of 195' 10", an NCAA provisional mark that ranks seventh in NCAA Division II. Teammate
Grant Fritsch was eighth in the hammer throw at 160' 1 ¼" to go with an eighth place in the discus (133' 10").
           Freshman
Alex Brandt collected a fifth place finish in the high jump (6' 2") along with a fifth place finish in the 110 high hurdles finals in 15.88 seconds.
           In the 800-meter run,
Bryce Holcomb was fourth at 1:56.32 and
Nathan Pearson fifth in 1:56.84.
           Three Wildcats finished in the top 10 in the 400-meter dash with
Jacob Ladage fourth (50.91),
Noah Carr seventh (51.48) and
Jackson McIntyre 10th at 52.19.

Brandon Mundorf was eighth in the 1,500-meter run (4:05.02) and freshman
Daniel Elge was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 45' 6 ½".
           The Wayne State 4 x 100 meter relay team of
Theo Huber,
Jacob Ladage,
Wyatt Nissen and
Noah Carr was fifth at 43.30 seconds while the 4 x 400 quartet of
Jackson McIntyre,
Michael Kueny, Ladage and Carr took sixth in 3:29.85.
           Wayne State's next meet is Friday, April 15th at the UNK Invite in Kearney.Â
