The Wayne State College women's 4 x 800-meter relay team broke a school record to highlight the Wildcat's performance Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
The quartet of
Kelsey Larsen,
Kylie Pachta,
Alison Stineman and
Jozlyn Barnes placed sixth with a time of 9:25.50, easily breaking the previous school mark of 9:31.70 set by Audrey Emanuel, Ashley Smith, Jodi Rhodig and Erin Oswald in the 2004 season.
On Friday,
Reilly Young competed in the discus and placed 12
th with a mark of 148' 9".
Saturday, the women's distance medley relay team of Pachta,
Sarah Cotton, Stineman and Larsen finished seventh in a time of 12:35.07.
In the open hammer throw,
Hailey Baker took 10
th at 167' 8" with senior
Kendra Paasch 12
th at 158' 6" while in the invite hammer throw
Brooklynn Chipps took seventh at 196' 1" while
Mckenzie Scheil was next in eighth at 193' 2".
Wayne State will compete again on Friday, May 5
th at the South Dakota Tune-up.
