USD Early Bird Invite Final Results
Senior
Brooklynn Chipps placed second in the hammer throw with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark for the Wayne State women's outdoor track and field team Saturday at the South Dakota Early Bird Invite in Vermillion, South Dakota. The event attracted 29 teams in NCAA Division I, II and III along with NAIA and junior colleges.
A graduate of Clearwater HS, Chipps posted a top mark of 198' 6 ¾" to place second in the hammer throw. Her NCAA provisional mark is the fourth-best throw in NCAA Division II this season.

Reilly Young took sixth at 149' 11" and senior
Kendra Paasch was seventh at 149' 7 ¼".
Hailey Baker came in 12
th in the hammer throw (161' 11 ¾"),
Kelsey Larsen was 12
th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:19.17 and freshman
Anna Coffee cleared 5' 3" to take 12
th in the high jump.
Wayne State's next meet is Friday and Saturday when the Wildcats compete at the Sioux City Relays.
