Junior
Lindsey Kneifl picked up a first-place finish in the triple jump to lead the Wayne State women's indoor track and field team Friday evening at the SDSU Last Chance Invite held at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings.
Kneifl's winning mark in the triple jump was 36' 9" and she also finished eighth in the long jump with a top mark of 17' 1 ¼".
Sophomore
Callie Kirchner collected a second-place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:08.08 with teammate
Jozlyn Barnes taking seventh at 3:10.90.
Kailee Kellum was third in the long jump at 17' 8 ¾" and took eighth in the triple jump with a top mark of 34' 7 ½".
Junior thrower
Olivia Schwarzrock placed fourth in the shot put with a top heave of 42' 4 ¾" and was fifth in the weight throw at 53' 7".
Other top finishers for the Wildcat women included freshman
Zoey Holmes taking fourth in the 600-meter run (1:38.19), freshman
Reagan Murphy was fifth in the 200-meter dash in 26.32 seconds and freshman
Kaitlyn Bloomenrader was seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:20.68 seconds.
Wayne State will compete Friday and Saturday at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Mankato, Minnesota.
