Kailee Kellum tied for second in the high jump and placed eighth in the long jump to highlight the Wayne State women's indoor track and field team Friday at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Mankato, Minnesota. The Wildcats sit fourth place in the team standings after the opening day with 20.33 points.
Minnesota State holds a commanding lead in the team standings with 77.33 points followed by UMary in second (28), Northern State third (27.33) and Wayne State fourth in the 15-team race.
A junior from Broken Bow and transfer from Eastern Washington, was one of three jumpers that tied for second clearing a personal-best 5' 5 ¼". She also collected an eighth-place medal in the long jump at 18' 6 ½".

Olivia Schwarzrock earned All-NSIC honors with a second-place finish in the weight throw at 57' ¾" with teammate
Jalecia Williams taking fifth at 55' 4 ¾".
The distance medley relay quartet of Allie Czapla,
Alaina Nelson,
Meghan Cunningham and
Sydney Escritt placed eighth in a time of 12:38.80.
The second and final day of the NSIC Indoor Championships starts Saturday at 9 a.m. with multi events followed by field events at 12 p.m. and running events finals at 1:30 p.m.
