Sophomore
Kaitlyn Bloomenrader captured first place in the 800-meter run and
McKinley Grover won the discus with an NCAA provisional mark to lead the Wayne State women's track and field team Wednesday afternoon and evening at the South Dakota Snooze Button Invitational held at Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion.
           Bloomenrader posted a winning time of 2:20.46 in the 800-meter run with teammate
Zoey Holmes second at 2:23.34 and
Jozlyn Barnes fifth in 2:26.89.
         Grover captured first place in the discus with a top throw of 152' 9", good for an NCAA provisional mark.Â
Torrance Tso was fourth in the event at 145' 10".Â
           Freshman
Breylee Botts had a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.57 seconds with
Reagan Murphy fourth at 14.91.
           In the long jump,
Ava Leinen was third with a top mark of 17' 7 ½" with
Kailee Kellum fourth (17' 6 ¾") and
Lindsey Kneifl fifth at 17' 2 ¾".Â
           Junior
Callie Kirchner was third in the 1,500-meter run at 4:52.30 with
Sydney Escritt fifth at 4:55.46.
           Senior
Olivia Schwarzrock took fourth in the shot put at 43' 1" with
Jalecia Williams right behind in fifth at 43' ½".

Taylor Arp had a fifth-place finish in the hammer throw (158' 1") with Schwarzrock sixth at 156' 10".
      Allie Czapla was fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:33.63.
           The 4 x 400-meter quartet of
Kyla Krusemark,
Reagan Murphy,
Zoey Holmes and Bloomenrader came in fifth place with a time of 4:03.04.Â
           Wayne State competes again this weekend on Friday and Saturday at the Sioux City Relays.Â
