The Wayne State College women's golf team closed the 2026 season Wednesday with a final round score of 326 on the third and final day of the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championships held in St. Joseph, Missouri at the St. Joseph Country Club. The Wildcats ended the three-day, 54-hole event in 17
th place with a team score of 977 carding rounds of 328-323-326.
Southwestern Oklahoma State edged Nebraska-Kearney by two shots – 926-928 – for the team title with Rogers State in third at 937. Minnesota State took fourth with a 941 and Arkansas Tech placed fifth at 942 with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA National Championships May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Erica Lee had the top Wildcat score on the final day shooting a seven-over-par 79. Senior
Saffire Sayre and sophomore
Gaia Stancikova each followed with 82's, junior
Hailey Kenkel had an 83 and sophomore
Camryn Johnson posted an 84.
For the three-day meet, Stancikova had the top Wayne State total placing in a tie for 57
th overall shooting a 243 with rounds of 79, 82 and 82. Sayre was next in 61
st place out of 97 total players shooting a 244 (81-81-82).
Johnson produced scores of 80-82-84 to finish in a tie for 65
th overall at 246, Lee tied for 75
th overall at 249 carding rounds of 88-82-79 and Kenkel ended in a tie for 87
th overall shooting 253 thanks to rounds of 92-78-83.
The meet marked the final competition for Wayne State's seniors

Olivia Ottman and
Kylie Powers.
