Concordia Classic Final Results
Freshman sprinter
Jordan Porter and junior high jumper
Dylan Kneifl registered event wins for the Wayne State College men's indoor track and field team Friday afternoon and evening at the Concordia Classic Indoor Track and Field Meet held in Seward.
Porter crossed the line first to win the 60-meter dash in 6.93 seconds and collected a sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.83 seconds.
Kneifl collected another win in the high jump clearing 6' 9 ½" to earn a first place finish and was sixth in the long jump with a top mark of 22' 2 ¼".
Pierce sophomore
Logan Moeller came in second place in the long jump at 23' 7 ½" with
Braden Johnson fifth (22' 3 ½") and
Alex Brandt eighth at 21' 6".
Freshman
Keaton Wattier recorded a second place finish in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.29 seconds while senior
Will McGonigal took second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:46.75.
Sophomore
Daniel Elge collected a third place finish in the shot put (50' ¾") with
Drake Peed placing fifth at 49' 5 ½".
Freshman
Mitchell Rudie finished sixth in the 600-meter run at 1:26.37 and the Wildcat 4 x 400 meter relay quartet of Rudie,
Wyatt Nissen,
Andrew Wyllie and
Edgar Rodriguez took sixth at 3:33.67.
Senior thrower
Grant Fritsch competed Friday afternoon in the weight throw at the Frank Sevigne/Husker Invite in Lincoln and came up with a sixth place mark of 57' 10 ½" in a strong field of Division I throwers.
Four other Wildcats also competed Saturday at the Frank Sevigne/Husker Invite as
Brandon Mundorf took third in the one mile run in a time of 4:15.20 followed by
Quentin Dreyer in fourth at 4:18.52. Wakefield junior Gabe Peitz was 13th in the 600-meter run at 1:23.82 and
Titus Kiptoo finished 11th in the 3,000-meter run at 8:38.97.
Wayne State will compete in two meets next weekend as part of the team heads to Mankato for the Minnesota State Massive Meet while the rest of the Wildcats will be in Yankton at the Mount Marty Last Chance Meet.
