Brody Lucas was the top Wayne State finisher to lead the Wildcat men's cross country team Saturday at the Dordt Holiday Inn Express Classic held in Sioux Center, Iowa. WSC finished 14
th in the team standings with 356 points.
Augustana edged South Dakota State 30-40 for the men's team title with Doane third at 107 points. Dordt (120) and Minnesota State (124) closed out the top five teams.
Lucas was the first Wildcat runner to cross the finish line on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:11.18 to place 59
th out of 147 runners in the meet. Next was
William Keller in 67
th place at 26:19.61 with junior
Brady Franzen coming in 74
th in a time of 26:26.73.
