Wayne State's women's track and field team headed to the Mount Marty Last Chance Invite Saturday at the Donohue Fieldhouse in Yankton, South Dakota.
            In the weight throw, WSC had five of the top seven finishers as McKenzie Scheil was first at 62' 1" followed by
Brooklynn Chipps in second at 62' 1".Â
Kendra Paasch took fourth at 51' 1 ¾" with
Nicole Heeren fifth (50' 9 ½") and
Reilly Young seventh at 46' 5 ½".Â
            In long jump, Wayne State had four of the top six finishes with
Kenzie Moeller taking first at 16' 9 ¾" followed by
Emily Smollen with third at 16' 4 ½".
Makenna Taake placed fifth (15' 10 ½") and
Lauryn Hoffman placed sixth at 15' 4 ½".
            The triple jump saw four Wildcats in the top seven as
Keyla Sambo finished in first place with a 35' 3 ¾" jump while
Emily Smollen finished third with a 34" 8 ¼" jump.
Emily Erickson ranked fourth (33' 3 ¾") and
Makenna Taake finished seventh at 32' 1 ½".
            Wayne State had three of the top four finishers in shot put as McKenzie Scheil took first place with 45' 11 ¾" while
Brooklynn Chipps followed with second place at 45' 1".
Kendra Paasch was fourth at 43' 5" while
Brooke Languis (41' 6 ½") grabbed seventh.
            In the 60-meter hurdles,
Megan Hansen placed first with a time of 9.32 seconds while
Faith Lubischer finished third at 10.19 seconds.
            Finishing second in the 60-meter dash was
Maya Couch with an 8.06 second time followed by
Kevona Brown in fourth with a time of 8.17 seconds.
Sarah Cotton placed sixth with a time of 8.21 while
Megan Hansen's 8.37 second time was good for eighth place.

Allie Rosener (3:10.9) led the way in the 1,000-meter run as the Wildcats took the top four places.
Kelsey Larsen (3:15.08) took second followed by
Alison Stineman (3:15.32) in third and
Kylie Pachta (3:17.11) in fourth.
           Wayne State locked up third through sixth in the 200-meter dash as
Sarah Cotton led WSC with a 26.61 time and took third followed by
Kevona Brown in fourth at 26.68 seconds.
Maya Couch was fifth with a time of 26.73 seconds while
Lauryn Hoffman took sixth with a 27.33 seconds time.
           Wayne State's 4x400 meter relay teams took second and third as the team of
Emily Erickson,
Sarah Cotton,
Lauryn Hoffman and
Kevona Brown took second place with a time of 4:10.04 while the team of
Allie Rosener, Kelsey Larson,
Alison Stineman and
Kylie Pachta took third with a time of 4:23.23.
           Wayne State will compete again on Saturday, February 19th at the SDSU Last Chance Invite in Brookings.
