Wayne State Men's Track and Field sees Success over the Weekend

    The Wayne State men's track and field team would see success at two meets over the weekend. Competing at both the Minnesota State Massive Meet and the Mount Marty Last Chance Meet.
 
    Titus Kiptoo would place second for the 'Cats in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 14:57.26 and the Minnesota State Massive Meet. WSC would also see Grant Fritsch throw a 57' 09" and place sixth in the weight throw while Wyatt Sindelar took eighth with a 51' 04" throw at the Minnesota State Massive Meet Saturday. In the shot put, Daniel Elge would place sixth (49' 09") and Drake Peed would place seventh (48' 08"). Dylan Kneifl would take first in the high jump with a 6' 7". Logan Moeller would take first in the long jump (23' 0 3/4") while Braden Johnson took second (22' 2 1/4"). Moeller would also take first in the tirple jump (46' 4 1/4"). 
           
    At the Mount Marty Last Chance Meet, Keaton Wattier would take fifth in the 60 Meter hurdles with a time of 8.44 seconds.
 
    In the 60-meter dash, Jordan Porter would take fifth with a time of 7.03. Also in the 400 meter dash Alex Leuenberger would take third with a time of 52.14 while Mitchell Rudie would take fifth with a time of 52.61 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Porter would take eighth with a time of 23.21.
 
    The team of Rudie, Porter, Wyatt Nissen and Waylon Sherman would take second in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:31.00.
 
    Wayne State will next compete at the South Dakota State Last Chance Invite in Brookings, South Dakota on Saturday February 18th at 1:15 p.m.
