Polar Dog Invite Final Results
           Pierce sophomore
Logan Moeller broke a nearly 30-year old school record with a first place finish in the long jump while junior
Dylan Kneifl also set a new school record with a first place finish in the high jump for the Wayne State men's indoor track and field team Saturday at the Polar Dog Invite in Seward hosted by Concordia University.
           Moeller collected a first place mark in the long jump at 23' 11 ¾", breaking the previous school record of 23' 11" held by Lee Harper back in 1993. It was also a new meet record.
           Kneifl, a graduate of Wisner-Pilger, won the high jump with a new school and meet record clearing 6' 10 ¾" to eclipse the previous school record of 6' 9 ½" set by Robert Sullivan in the 2019 season.Â
Wakefield junior Gabe Peitz also collected a first place finish crossing the line first in the 600-meter run at 1:24.86.

Brandon Mundorf and
Titus Kiptoo took second and third respectively in the one mile run with times of 4:32.20 and 4:34.19.
           Freshman
Keaton Wattier took third in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.62 seconds while
Jarrett McQueen was fifth in 8.87 seconds and
Caid McCart was fourth in the 60-meter dash finals in 7.09 seconds.

Mitchell Rudie was a second place finisher in the 600-meter run at 1:25.59,
Andrew Wyllie sixth in the 800-meter run (2:04.48),
Quentin Dreyer seventh in the 1,000-meter run at 2:36.89,
Will McGonigal sixth in the 5,000-meter run (15:53.06) and
Brandon Mitzel eighth in 16:10.82.
           In the 200-meter dash,
Wyatt Nissen came in fifth at 23.53 seconds,
Waylon Sherman seventh (23.66) and
Alex Leuenberger eighth in 23.79 seconds.
           Field event results saw
Braden Johnson take third in the long jump (22' 2 ¼"),
Cody Rogers fourth in the triple jump at 45' 3" and
Dylan Kneifl sixth in the long jump at 21' 8 ¾".Â
           Senior
Grant Fritsch had a strong third place finish in the weight throw at 57' 11" with
Wyatt Sindelar taking sixth with a mark of 53' 6 ½".
           In the shot put
Daniel Elge was fifth (48' 8 ¾"),
Drake Peed seventh (47' 11 ¾") and
Daylin Mallory eighth (47' 9").
           The Wildcat 4 x 400 meter relay team of
Mitchell Rudie,
Austin Madsen,
Edgar Rodriguez and
Alex Brandt took fourth place at 3:29.90 while the "B" quartet of Gabe Peitz,
Brandon Mundorf,
Quentin Dreyer and
Andrew Wyllie took seventh in 3:36.58.
           Wayne State will compete again next weekend at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi Meet in Mankato, Minnesota
